In the ring: Tampa, FL – Great honors! Rigby receives a Judge’s Award of Excellence at the highly esteemed Eukanuba National Championship. To be eligible for this show, a dog must be in the Top 25 of its breed or have finished its championship out of the Bred-By-Exhibitor class during the year. Rigby qualified under both categories, finishing 13th in the |
country during that time-period with very few times out. This win also qualified her for Crufts 2004 & 2005. It was great to see many other Curly friends there. The trip was inadvertently extended when, due to the cold weather in Minneapolis and the airline’s policy about transporting live animals, we had to go down 2 days early & come back a day late! person in the same situation and took the dogs to the beach & on long walks. St. Paul, MN – Daybreak Instant Karma WC (Karma) took Reserve Winner’s Dog on Saturday, and Daybreak Sergeant Pepper took it on Sunday. SR Ch Daybreak Eleanor Rigby JH, WCX, CD (Rigby) took Best of Opposite on Sunday. |

Chicago, IL – All of the dogs enjoyed meeting people at this benched show where, amongst an entry of 16, SR Ch Daybreak Eleanor Rigby CD, JH, WCX took BOS one day, Daybreak Penny Lane CD captured a 4-point major going BOW and placed second the other day, and Daybreak Sergeant Pepper placed a second and a third. The humans enjoyed the camaraderie of the other Curly folks as well. In the field: At an annual fundraiser for charity, Daybreak offered at auction the opportunity to hunt over the rare and remarkable Curly Coated Retriever. The lucky winner outbid every counter-bid that was placed and on the day he selected, took home 10 pheasants, prepared for his table, and pleasant memories of the CCR at work and at your side. |
