In the field: Hoffman, MN - Ch Daybreak Java JH, WXC, CD took 1st place (with a perfect score) and Daybreak Eleanor Rigby WC took 3rd place in a NAHRA competitive pheasant hunt at the Elk Lake Heritage Preserve. There was an entry of 15 dogs. Java & Rigby each qualified for their 1st NAHRA Started leg as well. Prior Lake, MN - Java and Rigby both got 2 more NAHRA Started legs at the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club. Marine on St. Croix, MN - Rigby earned her 1st two AKC Junior Hunter passes at the Northern Flights Retriever Club's test. Stoughton, WI - Rigby earned her 3rd Junior Hunter leg on |
August 31st at the Madison Retriever Club test. In the ring: Eau Claire, WI – Java took Best of Breed, Sergeant Pepper took Best of Opposite (1 point), and Rigby took Winners Bitch (1 point). Waukesha, WI – On Saturday, Daybreak Sergeant Pepper (Monty) took Best of Breed for a 5-point major! Rigby took a 1st in the Bred By class & Reserve Winners Bitch. On Sunday, Monty took Winner’s Dog for 2 points, and Kulteen Okaihau JH (Levi) took Reserve Winners Dog. On Monday (in Elkhorn), Levi took Best of Winners for a 3-point major and Monty took Reserve Winners Dog. |
Penny rode along to drop Tyler off for a Boy Scout trip. Left alone in the car for 2 minutes (with the car running!) while I stood RIGHT NEXT to it, she managed to lock the doors & turn on the flashers - the buttons for which are on the center console! I caught a ride home (only 1/2 mile away), got a spare key, jogged back, and by then she had UN-locked the doors! She smiled at me. I was just thankful the air conditioning had been on & that she hadn't chewed the interior. YES - I know better! | |||
