			Recent Happenings		Featuring: Curly Antics While Kathie sat at the computer updating this website, Rigby walked up, gripped the teeniest, tiniest corner of a piece of paper that was on the table in her teeth, and very deliberately pulled the entire stack to the floor. Then she looked at her as if to say, "So, ... now do I have your attention?"
			Longmont, CO - We undertook our first long road trip with dogs and trailer and attended the 2002 CCRCA National Specialty in Colorado last November. Java, being in season, stayed home with the kids, while Rigby and Penny came along for socialization. We were able to get a picture of them with their father Albert and great-grandmothers Tempest and Zelsa. St. Paul, MN - Rigby took Best of Winners both days at the Land O'Lakes shows January 4-5. Monty took Best of Opposite both days. Penny and Karma each received one Reserve Winners award. This was the puppies' first show (they had just turned 6 months old). Kathie was kept very busy switching dogs and numbers: this was a first time for that!	Thankfully we had some experienced helpers assisting us with this! Hugo, MN - Java recently took 1st Place in Novice A at the Upper Midwest Australian Shepherd Club obedience event on March 9, and 2nd place on March 8. Penny took fourth in sub-Novice.

Apple Valley, MN - We will be attending the Minnesota River Valley shows in Apple Valley the weekend of April 12-13. This show offers conformation only. Mason City, IA - We are thinking about going to the shows in Mason City, IA, the weekend of April 19-20. It is the weekend before we leave for the	Specialty, so a last chance for the puppies to practice proper ring behavior. St. Louis, MO - We will be attending the Curly Coated Retriever Club of America's National Specialty, which begins the last week of April in St. Louis, MO. We will be partaking in good old camaraderie, obedience, field and conformation events.
